지나가던 조씨
“이름에 ‘지나가던’이라는 수식어가 붙긴 하지만, 정작 지나가던 조씨는 공연할 때 앉은 자리에서 많이 이동하지 않는다. 어찌 보면 제한된 공간 안에 자신을 가두는 것 같아 보이지만, 음악은 제법 자유롭다.” '지나가던 조씨'는 자유즉흥음악 연주자이다. 즉흥적으로 하모니카와 단모이 등의 악기를 연주하고 이펙터로 변조하여, 그 소리를 이어나가는 방식의 공연활동을 하고 있다. 홍대의 라이브클럽에서 활동을 시작하여 지금도 꾸준히 오픈마이크 및 기획공연에 참여하고 있으며, 요기가 갤러리의 '불가사리' 공연에도 자주 참여하고 있다. 최근에 참여한 집단 즉흥 공연으로는 'for instance'(2014), '시리즈 딱지 #3'(2015)가 있다.

이안-존 허치슨
이안-존은 2001년 오클랜드 대학에서 작곡자이자 악기제작자인 필 데드슨의 지도아래 수학했다. 그는 오클랜드(비티민 에스), 도쿄, 오사카(MIIT House) 그리고 서울(불가사리 및 즉흥공연그룹)에서 즉흥 공연 및 축제들에 참석해왔다. 2010년, 안양시 석수예술프로젝트에서 레지던시를 하였으며 2012년 광주비엔날레에서 공연했다. 그는 주요 관심영역은 블루스 하모니카와 수제 악기 그리고 필드레코딩이다.

Passing Josh
Although he bears the “Passing Josh” moniker, Josh is in a stationary state during the performance. Whilst confined within his space, the music engenders transcendent freedom.
“Passing Josh” is an experimental musician who uses modulated effects on instruments such as mouth organs and jaw harps to create improvisational soundscape concerts. He performs at live clubs in Hongdae, invitational performances, open mics events, and performances at Yogiga. Recently he has participated in collective improvisation series “For Instance” (2014) and “Ttakji Series” (2015).

Ian-John Hutchinson
Ian-John studied with composer and instrument maker Phil Dadson at Auckland University in 2001. He has participated in improvisation events in Auckland (Vitamin S), Tokyo, Osaka (MIIT House) and Seoul (Bulgasari and Contact Dance
Improvisation Group). In 2010 he did a residency at Seoksu Art Project in South Korea, and performed at the 2012 Gwangju Biennalle. He is interested in the blues harmonica, self-made instruments and field-recordings.
