여인영(1979) 은 작가, 독립 큐레이터이자 디렉터이다. 영국, 미국, 한국에서 영문학, 일러스트레이션, 미술을 수학한 후, 2014년 서울에서 작가 운영 공간 스페이스 원을 창립했다. 이후 한국, 일본, 대만, 독일, 영국, 미국 등 다양한 국가의 미술 공간 및 신진 작가들과 함께 작업하고 실험하며 여러 협력 전시들을 기획했다. 주요 프로젝트 및 전시로: 스페이스원 프로젝트 '공유공간과 시간의 교차로' 서울문화재단 소셜 프로젝트 선정 프로젝트: 강연, 퍼포먼스, 공공 장소 영상설치물등; 스페이스원 프로젝트 'Gender Hierarchy' 독일문화원 싱가폴 후원: 전시, 강연, 퍼포먼스; 2017서울도시건축비엔날레 ‘삼방 회로’: 퍼포먼스 인터뷰와 전시, 퍼포먼스, 패널 토크; 독일문화원 동아시아 지역 프로젝트 'A Better Version of 人' 한국 프로그램: 전시, 패널 토크, 워크샵 기획; 'A Free Breakfast', 'Multitude', 'Bare' 등의 그룹전시 및 '삼방회로', '공간', '비쥬얼 인터뷰' 등의 개인전을 열었다. 

팀 트라이어드는 세 명의 사운드 아티스트가 모여 지속적인 매체 실험을 하는 팀이다. 사운드라는 공통분모 아래 시스템/하드웨어 설비의 김호남, 개발/데이터 분석의 전민제, 전자음악작곡/사운드디자인/음향엔지니어링의 홍광민이 모여 다양한 매체를 활용한 새로운 사운드스케이프를 만들고 있다. 근래의 화두는 데이터를 다른 매체와 감각으로 확장시키는 것이다.

윤심은 작가 겸 디자이너로 활동하면서, 도시 공간을 주제로 한 리서치 및 공간 설치 작업을 진행해왔다. 한국, 미국, 독일에서 학업을 마치고 실무 경력을 쌓았으며, 국내외 도시건축공모전에서 다수 수상하고, 작품을 출판했다. 공간을 디자인하는 작업뿐만 아니라, 공간이 위치한 도시적 맥락에 대한 리서치, 이를 기반으로 한 데이터 시각화, 생태적인 시스템을 바탕으로 한 공간적인 실험에 관심을 두고 작업을 하고있다. 
레이첼 최는 컴퓨터과학을 전공한 개발자로 AR/VR, IoT, Art & Technology, HCI에 관심을 가지고 해당 프로젝트를 진행해 왔으며 ICT관련 공모전에서 다수 수상을 하였다. 현재 컴퓨터과학 석사과정에 있다. 기술과 다양한 분야를 접목하여 사람들과 기술이 인터랙션할 수 있는 재미있는 소재들을 연구하고 있다.

현대적 PC라 불릴만한 물건이 처음 등장했던 시기에 태어난 윤제원은 PC문화의 발전과 함께 같이 성장했다. 컴퓨터를 사용하기 위해서는 학원을 다녀야 했던 시대를 지나 스마트폰이 생활의 일부이자 현대인의 제2의 두뇌라고까지 불리는 현재까지 독특하다면 독특한 체험을 해온 80년대 초 태생으로, 특히 세계적인 게임의 국내의 탑 랭커로 플레이하고 게임커뮤니티의 유저매니저로 활동하면서 뉴미디어와 사이버스페이스를 최첨단으로 대면해 왔다. 이를 바탕으로 게임이라는 가상세계와 커뮤니티라는 온라인 문화 그리고 벙개라 불리는 오프라인 문화인 현실세계의 접점들에서 체험한 디지털 세상의 경험 축적 데이터를 이용한 미학적 연구를 진행하고 있다. 윤제원 작가의 작품은 <zkm_gameplay. the next level>, ZKM_Karlsruhe(독일), <A MAZE>, ArbanSpree(독일), <Games & Politics>, Athens Conservatoire(그리스) 등에 초청됐고 Art Games in Seoul 우승, 13th 월간 미술세계 신진작가 발언전 우수상 등에 선정됐으며 홍익대학교 미술대학 회화과 졸업, 동대학원을 수료했다.

InYoung Yeo (Space One) is an independent artist, curator and director. With a background in English Literature, Illustration and Fine Art in countries including UK, US and Korea, she started an artist-run space -Space One- in Seoul 2014. Since then, she has put together various collaborative exhibitions, working and experimenting with emerging artists and art spaces from Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Germany, UK, US, Canada among others. Some of her projects and exhibitions include ‘Intersections of Common Space and Time’ supported by Seoul Art Foundation, Goethe-Institut Seoul; ‘Gender Hierarchy’ supported by Geothe-Institut Singapore in collaboration with Grey Projects Singapore; ‘A.I.MAGINE’ Seoul City, Seoul National University commissioned, Seoul Digital Foundation, Seoul Data Science Lab Project; 'a three-way dialogue' with the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2017; East Asia Goethe-Institut project 'A Better Version of 人' programs in Korea; Group Exhibitions 'A Free Breakfast', 'Multitude', 'Bare'; and Solo Exhibitions 'Space', 'Visual Interview' and 'Self'.

An artist and designer, Yun Shim has researched on urban space and created space installations. Yun Shim gained practical experience after studying in Korea, the United States and Germany. Shim won contests on urban architecture in Korea and abroad and created artworks. Shim’s current interest is not only limited to space design but extends to research on the urban context of space and data visualization based on such research and spatial experiments on ecological systems. 
Rachael Choi is a software developer who majored in computer science. She has been involved in this project with interests in AR/VR, IoT, Art & Technology, and HCI. Choi has also won various ICT-related contests. She is currently a master’s student in computer science and is researching interesting ways for human beings and technology to interact by converging technology in various fields. 

Team TRIAD is a group of three sound artists who continue to experiment on media. Under the common denominator of sound, Honam Kim manages system and hardware equipment, Minje Jeon takes charge in developing and data analysis, and Gwangmin Hong composes electronic music and handles sound designs and sound engineering, to create new soundscapes using various media. The team is currently focusing on expanding data into different media and sensations.

Jewon Yoon was born at the advent of the modern PC and grew up along with the progress in the PC culture. Born in the early 1980s, Yoon experienced both the era when one had to go to a private institute to learn how to use a computer and the present when the smartphone is a part of life and even called the second brain. As one of the top rankers of an internationally famous computer game as well as the user manager of the game community, Yoon has been at the forefront of new media and cyberspace. Based on such experience, Yoon conducts aesthetic research using data from his experience on the digital world, compiled through the virtual world of games, the online culture from game communities, and through the offline culture of bungae[meet-up]. Yoon’s works has been exhibited in zkm_gameplay, the next level(ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany), A MAZE(ArbanSpree, Germany) and Game & Politics(Athens Conservatoire, Greece). He has received awards from ‘Art Games in Seoul’ and 13th Montly Misul-Segye Emerging Artists awards. He received his BA in painting from Hongik University and finished MA courseworks in the graduate school at Hongik University.

마크 마테스 “평균율 뇌”: 바이올린과 비디오 퍼포먼스를 통한 신경회로망의 음향화Sonification
이번 퍼포먼스에서 선보일 “평균율 뇌”는 ‘나노뇌nanobrain’로도 알려져 있으며 실험실의 “시험관” 안에서 배양되고, 신경 세포망이 만들어내는 데이터를 다성多聲 음악으로 음향화하는 알고리즘에 의해 평균율로 조율된다.

핑크노이즈 팝업 전시의 클로징 이벤트인 ‘옥상 영화 상영회’에 초대합니다. 

“The Cage"는 상상의 연대,상상의 지역에서 벌어지는 유사-느와르 장르의 우화이다.이야기의 무대가 되는 도시 "익샐론(Exalon)"은 서울과 한국의 해안 지역을 배경으로, 또다른 도시 "리셴버그(Lichtenberg)"는 타이페이를 배경으로 촬영될 것이다. 이야기는 도시와 풍경의 다소 '자연적인(naturalistic)'이미지와 함께 병치되며,이야기 내에서 두 공간 간의 지리학적 요소는 자전적 성격에서 기인하는 나의 사적 기억을 뒤섞어놓는 장치로서 기능한다.
이야기는 리셴버그에서 탈출해 해안가의 도시국가인 익샐론에 정착하고자 하는 닉으로부터 출발한다. 닉은 돌아온 익샐론에서 현란함과 대담함 그 자체인 나이 어린 가수 앨런과 사랑에 빠진다.비록 가족에게 학대를 당하지만 앨런은 자신이 속한 곳을 떠날 생각이 없다.닉은 자신의 고향이 사실 익샐론이며,그의 가족들 중 일부는 여전히 이 곳에 살고 있다는 사실을 숨긴다. 그는 어딘가의 자유를 찾으러 몇 년 전 익샐론을 떠나왔던 것이다.하지만 예전 닉의 고용주가 익샐론에 도착하며 과거가 닉을 덮쳐온다.

<리오 샴리즈 (Lior Shamriz) 감독에 관하여>
감독의 영화는 베를린 영화제(Berlin Film Festival : 2010년, 2013년, 2015년)를 비롯하여 로카르노 (Locarno 2007년), 프레임라인 (Frameline),뉴욕의 모마 (MoMA New York’s ND/NF : 2008), KW-Berlin, 파리의 뽐삐두 미술관 (Centre George Pompidou Paris) 과 쾰른의 박물관 (Ludwig Museum Köln)등 수많은 국제 영화제에 초청되어 상영된 바 있으며, 오버하우젠 (Oberhausen Kurilmtage : 2013년, 2014년, 2015년)과 Achtung Berlin 등의 영화제에서 수상한 경력이 있다. 그는 장편영화로 막스 오퓔스 상(Max Ophüls Prize)에 노미네이트 되었으며 독일 국립박물관에서 수여하는 독일의 신진 영화예술 대상의 최종후보까지 오른 바 있다. 뿐 아니라,데살로니키 국제 영화제 및 이스라엘 영화제 등에서 레트로스펙티브에 선정되기도 하였다. Join us at the closing event of ‘Pink Noise Pop Up' with a rooftop film screening. 

The Cage is a pseudo-noir fairytale, taking place in an imaginary geography at an imaginary time. It will be shot in Seoul and the Korean coast as one city (“Exalon”) and in Taipei as another city (“Lichtenberg”), using geographies that mix my own memories from my personal autobiography, with more-or-less ‘naturalistic’ images of city- and landscapes.
It tells the story of Nick, who is escaping an arrest in Lichtenberg and comes to settle down in Exalon, a coastal city-state. There he starts an affair with a young flamboyant singer, Allen, who falls in love with him. Allen, although being maltreated by his family would never think to leave. Nick hides the fact that he’s originally from Exalon, and that parts of his family still live there. He left years ago, hoping to find freedom somewhere else. But the past comes hunting Nick, as as his former boss arrives in Exalon.

Visual Bulk invites you to a public talk by visiting curators/artists, Vanessa Kwan from Vancouver, Canada, and InYoung Yeo from Seoul, Korea. 

VB Co-Director Theia Connell met InYoung and Vanessa in November 2017 in Seoul during an Asialink residency, and invited them to Tasmania. To her delight, they accepted. Both Vanessa and InYoung are involved in running and curating the programs of artist-run spaces in their respective cities, whilst sustaining their own creative practices and managing international collaborative projects.

'Vanessa Kwan is a Vancouver-based artist and curator with a focus on transdisciplinary, site-specific and community-engaged practices. As Performance Curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery, she produced Fuse, the gallery’s premiere performance event, from 2008-14. She has been a guest curator of exhibitions/ performance at 221A Artist Run Centre, The Richmond Art Gallery, the Powell Street Festival and the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. She has produced significant public works in Vancouver and Toronto, and is currently in development for curatorial projects in Sydney (AUS), Haverford (US) and Seoul (KR). She serves as an active member of Other Sights for Artists' Projects curatorial collective, and is a founding member of the performance collective Norma, who were honoured with a City of Vancouver Mayor's Arts Award for Public Art in 2011. She writes and publishes regularly on art and culture, and teaches sessionally at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has worked at grunt gallery as a curator since 2014.'
